Read me first!

We have reached a point in life where we will have to decide the future of our business.

We will be closing out our remaining inventory and you may take advantage of our offers that we will communicate to you via E-Mail.

Our shopping cart is set to show only available produts. Our main suppliers are the https://Bjoern-Koehler.com in Seiffen, Germany. You may copy the name to have a direct link to Germany. Another supplier is the Richard Glaesser (https://www.glaesser-seiffen.de/) where you browse the various procucts and prices. We do not profit if you purchase directly from our suppliers.

Now the some important consideration.

  1. Currency Exchange Rates

As of October 23, 2025 the exchange rate to the US Dollar is 1 EUR = 1.1618 USD which represents an additional 16% that you will have to absorb if you purchase anything in Germany. Use this link to check the current exchange rate https://www.xe.com/

2. Shipping Charges

Most German vendors will no longer ship to the USA. Bjorn Koehler and Richard Glaesser continue to ship, but be aware of the rates, possibly custom duties. The traditioal excemption  (“the de minimis rule”) for small parcels shipped into the United States has been discontinued.

Bjoern Koehler in Germany charges currently 80,00 €   USA (including all applicable customs duties, max. goods value €675).

Shipping times for deliveries abroad are within 10 – 28 days from conclusion of contract (if advance payment agreed from the date of the payment instruction).

While Richard Glaesser charges are as follows:

USA/Canada:
Shipping costs per order = 55,95 €
Orders over 30 kg and bulky items are delivered by freight carrier. Shipping costs per order = 120,00 €. It is silent about US Custom duties. Shipping of foreign deliveries, will be within 8 – 14 days after the order confirmation.

Claims/Defective products:

Bjoern-Koehler has a section for Terms and conditions but nothing about defective merchandise. If you receive defective merchandise, you might as will forget it. Toss it into the garbage since the shipping charges for both direction in most cases exceed the value of the product.

Our own experience with Bjoern-Koehler has not been good. We returned a carton of defective or inferior products several years ago at our own expens and these items were repaired and returned to us with the next order. However a subsequent return was refused and we had to eat the loss which was substantial. You may want to consider this before placing an order.

The section “Terms and Conditions” is a lot of legal “mumbo jumbo”. Obviously drafted by a layer that included a lot of nonsense.

We will start our closing out our Inventory starting November 1st, 2025. We will offer an initial discount of 10%. Shipping charges are mininal via USPS Priority Mail.
